Adopt @prepared911/ui inside Dispatch with cascade layers and a 62.5% root font size.
html { font-size: 62.5% } and ships an unlayered global reset (* { margin: 0; padding: 0 }). Chroma tokens assume a 16px root and every primitive rule lives in @layer chroma.*. Unlayered host CSS wins over layered design-system rules, so Box padding and margin props would render as zero until the host reset is layered below Chroma. Rem-based tokens would also render at 62.5% size without a compensating sheet.
@prepared911/ui/compat/dispatch.css is the single entry point Dispatch imports before component styles.
@layer dispatch-legacy, chroma.reset, chroma.tokens, chroma.recipes, chroma.primitives, chroma.overrides so a host reset in dispatch-legacy stays below Chroma.tokens.css).styles.css, dispatch-layer-order.css imports generated tokens.root-62_5.css in chroma.overrides, rescaling every rem-based token by 1.6 (100 / 62.5). The sheet is produced by pnpm tokens:compat whenever Chroma tokens change; do not edit it by hand.dispatch-layer-order.css re-declares the layer stack and loads the scaled token sheet in chroma.overrides. Primitive stylesheets declare @layer chroma.* without dispatch-legacy; loading this sheet after styles.css puts the host reset back under Chroma and keeps rem compensation above the aggregate token block.
Wrap the rules from GlobalStyle that zero margin and padding (and any other global reset) in the legacy layer:
Keep html { font-size: 62.5%; } outside that layer if Dispatch still relies on 1rem = 10px for legacy SCSS. When Dispatch eventually moves to a 100% root, drop compat/dispatch.css and import @prepared911/ui/tokens.css instead.
Mount the React tree with DesignSystemEnvironment (locale, time zone, direction, and router Link adapter) and a single Toaster, as described in Getting started.
The design-system package ships browser tests that load fixture stylesheets mimicking Dispatch with and without a layered reset. They assert Box padding and margin and body text size match a normal 16px host when the kit and layered reset are in place.
